After the immense success of the first international show “ Botanical Art Worldwide” promoted by the ASBA, a new show opens this year in a climate of great enthusiasm.
Italy, as one of the 30 participating countries, will offer an itinerant show of over 70 works of modern Italian botanical art inspired by the show’s theme “ Raccolti e racconti: la biodiversità nell’arte botanica” ( Harvest Narratives : Biodiversity in Botanical Art) which will be exhibited in 3 different Italian museums from May 2025 until January 2026.
I was very pleased to have 3 of my works selected as illustrations of wild plants still used today as food, which will start the story of the rich selection of plants cultivated in Italy with non-industrial methods over the centuries.
There will be an ongoing video of selected works from all of the 30 participating countries during each country’s exhibition.
